Sarah and Stephen, Jewish and Ghanain Wedding at Stoke Park – 9th June 2019

Geoff and the band are amazing! So talented and really got our party started, at our recent Jew-ish and Ghanaian wedding! They’re experience, repertoire and flare put us as at ease during the planning process and created an amazing atmosphere for us and our guests on the night. Could not recommend them highly enough!
Thank you again

Jamie and Jessica, Wedding at Private House in Norfolk – 8th June 2019

Ambassador made our wedding that bit more perfect. The band exceeded our expectations and created the party atmosphere we wanted – people were dancing from the first song right until the end. The repertoire was flawless. Geoff was also incredibly accommodating in the days, weeks and months leading up to the wedding, closely working with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted (including letting me jam on guitar with them for a couple of songs). He also had patience and quickly dealt with all my questions – no matter how mundane! All the guests have been raving about the band – couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you.

Carol Hilson, Mother of the bride, Wedding at Cain Manor in Hampshire – 18th May 2019

Hi Geoff and the rest of Ambassador Band – I do not have words to thank you enough for performing at my daughter’s wedding at Cain Manor. The whole day was just wonderful but the evening WOW was truly sensational. The dance floor was full all night. I have lost count of how many guests commented on both the genres of music and how talented you all are. A special thanks goes to you Geoff for making the whole booking process so easy.  Booking a wedding band was huge for me but you managed to allay any concerns along the way? I needn’t have worried a jot because everything was just perfect. I would recommend Ambassador Band any time.

Louise and Simon, Greek Wedding at Great Fosters in Surrey – 11th May 2019

Both Simon and I have had so many comments from our families and friends on how wonderful and brilliant you all were. Everyone had such a good night and you created such a positive and fun party atmosphere for everyone to get involved (including my little nephew). I felt like I was just beaming with happiness the whole time, just didn’t want to leave the dance floor and totally made it to have the Greek touches especially when you played the Zorba song. Not only was it brilliantly performed, but Simon had a couple of Greek dance lessons with my brother as well so was all perfect together. And not to forget all your advice and help before the wedding as well to get everything organised, so thank you very much!

Dear Geoff and the Ambassador Band, YOU GUYS WERE SOOOO GOOD. Thank you all for your energy, flexibility, music, rhythm, love and professionalism. We hope you enjoyed the night too. We’re only planning on doing this wedding thing once, so will have to recommend you to our friends so that we can hear you play again!!! Please pass this on to the whole crew – musicians and sound/lighting team.

Adam Smyth, Christmas corporate party for WHG Housing Association, Birmingham – 7th December 2018

We used Ambassador band for our corporate Christmas party (housing association based in the Midlands) and they were worth every penny. Everyone was up dancing before the alcohol could kick in due to the variety and upbeat nature of the performance and they were the main reason everyone enjoyed the night. Very professional to work with and I would highly recommend Ambassador for any function or event.

Libby & Jon King, Joint 50th Birthday Party at Leeds Castle in Kent – 10th November 2018

10 years ago, the Ambassador Band played at our 40th birthday party. Last weekend they played at our 50th. We never would have thought they could get any better than last time around… how wrong we were! Our 200+ guests danced all night long to their playlist… ’70’s, ’80’s, ’90’s and noughties… these guys cover the lot! As soon as they started their set they had the crowd up and dancing, and they kept us up there all night, right until the very end. Superb. Their musicality is exceptional, the vibe they create is fantastic and the way they look and perform is just brilliant (we had the twelve piece set up… what a great sound). They’re worth every penny folks… We look forward to seeing them again for our 60th (hopefully?!) unless one of our kids gets married in the meantime of course!! Thanks again to Geoff and the band. Love & best wishes, xx

Jewish Wedding at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire

On 14th October 2018 Ambassador Band were booked to perform at the Jewish wedding of Paula and Ben, at the very beautiful Hatfield House in Hertfordshire. This venue is amazing and has a large banqueting hall where the ceremony, dinner and evening party takes place. The venue once belonged to Queen Elizabeth I and boasts many original featured including brickwork and paintings.

Both bride and groom originally stated that they wanted an amazing band that could cover all the party music they liked, as well as Israeli dancing music. They also wanted a band that had a bit of an edge to them, were styled well and really knew how to bring the party atmosphere to their wedding night. Paul and ben said that this why they choose Ambassador band. Please see below the testimonial that Paula and Ben sent us 2 days after their wedding:-

“One word, amazing! I can’t recommend this band enough for a wedding, or any fun event! I picked Ambassador band for our wedding in October after having researched over 10 different bands. I knew straight away they were the right ones, as not only are they far more reasonably priced than other bands, their range of music is incredible and also their styling is awesome, something equally as important to us. Not only that but the band leader, Geoff was extremely quick to reply to ALL of my questions and was super lovely from the get go. Our friends and family were equally as impressed with them – their energy and vibes kept everyone having a fantastic time throughout the night. Big shout out also to Adam & Kadija, the singers on the night – absolutely amazing voices Thanks so much guys :-) x”

Paula and Ben Loftus, Jewish wedding at Hatfield House – 14thOctober 2018

Both Paula and Ben and their families were a delight to work with and such lovely people. Both sets of parents personally came to see us after we had performed and thanked us for “a truly outstanding performance”.

In the lead up to the wedding Paula was our main point of contact and knew exactly what she wanted both visually and musically from the outset. Once she had gave us her brief, we were trusted and left to get on with it – and we delivered as always.

Chuppah Ceremony Music at Hatfield House with Ambassador Band

Beyond the evening entertainment we were also asked to provide music in the Chuppah ceremony and the drinks reception. Our specialists Yair and Stephen took charge of this and made sure everything was perfect in these area. The duo was made up of keyboards and clarinet with Yair also singing the Jewish sections in Hebrew. They performed as guests arrive for the ceremony, entrance music for the bride and entrance music for the groom. Music while signing the register and then Simcha (celebration music) for the smashing of the glass and as the bride, groom and guests departed for the drinks reception.

Ambassador Band set up at Hatfield House
Ambassador Band set up at Hatfield House

We had performed at Hatfield House before so we were familiar with the usual set up at the venue. Paula and Ben did however ask if we could set 2 stages up instead of just one and have half the band on one side and the other half on the other side. The reason for this was to have the band play long ways into the room and still leave a walkway between the main hall and the bar area/room behind the band. We agreed and said we could make it work – which we did and it looked fantastic.  We also provided the checker dance floor, full L-Acoustics sounds system, stage/dance floor lighting and 12 uplighters for around the sides of the room to highlight the venues beautiful architecture

For our live repertoire selection we asked Paula and Ben to send us a list of their favourite songs and we built the set list from there. Their first dance was You’re my best Friend by Queen and we arranged this to include a brass line. It was indeed and amazing first dance choice and set list and had the dance floor bouncing from the minute we started performing until the last note we played at the end of the evening.

We were asked to play a set of Israeli dancing music to welcome the bride and groom back into the banqueting hall for dinner and the evening celebrations.
